It all began with a conversation between two former colleagues who had transitioned from the admissions world to become independent educational consultants (IECs). One day, as we discussed our new roles, my colleague mentioned her involvement on the board of IECA. Intrigued, I expressed my willingness to help if she ever needed it. Little did I know that this casual offer would soon lead me on a journey.
