Even over the past 10 years, independent educational consultants (IECs) have seen an increasing rise in international students seeking support in the admissions process. The number of international students for the 2018/2019 academic year, for example, hit an all-time high and was the fourth consecutive year with more than one million international students, according to the 2010 Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange.
