My extensive editorial background and undergraduate teaching experience uniquely suit me to specialize in guiding students in the one component that can turn admissions officers into advocates — the essay.

I’m a certified Maxwell DISC trainer and consultant, so my students start with a Student/Career Assessment. We use the information from this assessment to identify strengths that students don’t typically realize are unique to them. This translates into students jumping off the page in memorable application essays.

But first: the list. Students tend to think of their list of schools they wish to apply to as the list from which they will choose where they’re going to college — without considering the whole “sorting hat” process that happens in the middle.

We evaluate the variables unique to each student and family situation using industry software. We identify the student’s authentic interests, values, and academic goals. From there, we work together to find the best-fit colleges using an honest self-assessment of grades, test scores, abilities, and a family’s ability to pay.
