Retreat Speaker Biographies

Dr. Rebecca White is the Walter Chair of Entrepreneurship, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Director of the John P Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Tampa. She is an entrepreneur, educator, business consultant, author, and podcaster with expertise in the design, management, and leadership of innovation.  She loves to help learners operating in any context and at all stages of life to build the competencies and skills of an entrepreneurial mindset. Dr. White has developed and led top ranked programs for entrepreneurs at numerous universities in the US and Europe.

Victoria Sassine is a business executive and private equity investor who brings her operating experience, board participation, and investing knowledge to entrepreneurs across a host of industries. Her expertise is in creating scalable operational and financial processes for businesses at every level of growth and development. She is the founder of Scale Smarter Partners, a consultancy focused on scaling business growth. She serves as a NYSE board director, lectures at Babson College, and helped launch Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses nationwide. Victoria earned her MBA from the University of Chicago.

Giles Hertz is an Associate Professor of Business Law and Entrepreneurship at the University of Tampa (UT). Hertz is the President and Chairman of the Board of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Inc. He earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and a JD the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.
