Speed Meetings to Raise ROI in NASCAR City
by Mark Sklarow, Executive Director, IECA
A wonderful, new opportunity awaits consultants, schools, and programs coming to the IECA Fall Conference in Charlotte, NC this November. In addition to the regular conference and pre-conference offerings, guest speakers, campus tours, and more, we will introduce SPEED MEETINGS.
Borrowing the concept from “speed dating,” two special opportunities will allow a very limited number of educational consultants to conduct a series of quick, direct, one-on-one meetings with up to 20 educational programs at each session. On Wednesday morning, prior to the opening of the conference, the focus will be on traditional boarding schools, summer, and gap year programs. This presents the perfect opportunity for consultants who advise on such placements to gain good information on 20 diverse programs. It is a wonderful chance for college and therapeutic consultants, and those with an LD specialty to gain information on a substantial number of schools, enhancing their knowledge and assisting them in transitioning into school consulting. On Thursday, the speed meetings will focus on therapeutic schools and programs, where consultants will get to meet face-to-face with up to 20 therapeutic programs in just a few hours. This will allow time to understand programs’ mission, philosophy, and more.
Consultants attending each session will receive a comprehensive collection of data about all participating schools or programs. The number of participating institutions will be limited to ensure maximum interaction, guaranteeing a significant return on investment. IECA member and non-member consultants who are interested should check the appropriate box on their conference registration form. Those who already registered and now wish to add one or both speed meetings should follow directions for updating their registration choices provided on their conference confirmation or send an e-mail to rachel@iecaonline.com.
We’re excited to be able to implement a new program at the request of past attendees, and look forward to a wildly successful experience.
