In San Francisco…Seeing Double

One fun aspect of almost any conference is wandering through the exhibit hall to look at the vendors, examine their products and discuss the services they offer, whether to consultants, schools, or programs. The IECA Vendor Hall continues to grow and we’ll be welcoming the largest number of vendors ever–including many coming to IECA for … Read more »

Naviance Trials are Coming

Many IECA College Consultants have been intrigued by Naviance and became particularly interested when Naviance offered deep discounts and special features exclusively to IECA members. Unfortunately there was no way for members to “try it out” and see what Naviance could do for their practice, until now. We’ll soon be announcing the ability of IECA members to … Read more »

Those attending first learned of the planned announcement for a first-in-the-nation university-sponsored certificate program in Independent Educational Consulting. Working closely with IECA, the UC-Irvine program will start in September. Following this announcement I had the … Read more »

UC/Irvine Expecting Crowd for Webinar

UC/Irvine is reporting that nearly 200 people have pre-registered for a webinar Monday on the changing nature of the educational consulting profession. That is about six times the usual UC/Irvine participation. Hopefully this bodes well for the creation of the first certificate program in educational consulting. I’ll be covering how consulting has changed as a … Read more »

Late Fees Coming

Conference registration continues to look good for San Francisco.  We just signed up a number of new exhibitors who will make the vendor hall a very exciting place.  In addition to those new vendors, the Internet / networking lounge will be located in the area and we’ve just added, at the suggestion of many colleagues, … Read more »

Big NAVIANCE Development

We’ll be announcing shortly that Naviance has agreed to allow IECA members a seven day trial in order to see for  yourself what the counseling office software package can do.  Information on how to apply for the Naviance trial will be distributed from our Member Services office this week, along with new information about how … Read more »
